This starts by addressing our biases, developing empathy for the struggles of others, and acting on a shared commitment to the following values: racial justice, immigrants' rights, environmental defense, native solidarity, economic fairness, women's rights, educational equity, criminal justice reform, universal healthcare, and LGBTQ equality.
Inspired by our common humanity, Join or Die Collective believes we must rise together to resist intolerance, apathy, and greed, or risk losing hard won progress. Through our designs, Join or Die Collective seeks to give voice to those who desire progress and who are willing to share in each other's struggles so we can all fight to live another day. We've reimagined Benjamin Franklin's iconic image, and America's first political cartoon, as a call to action for today's America. The segmented snake symbolizes the values championed by millions of Americans and sought out by even more across the world. It not only depicts the struggles of seemingly separate groups, but the potential power for good these same groups possess when unified. Join or Die Collective understands we must all commit to each other and stand together in defense of progress.
Join or Die is not a threat, but rather a recognition of the incredible determination and potential we possess to effect change for the common good.
